6. Claiming a Tip
You may claim only a tip intended for you. Once a claim is bound to your account, you may not sell, transfer, reassign, decline, or allow another person to use that claim or your payment account.
By claiming a tip you acknowledge that you, and not tippos, are the merchant of record for the charge made to the giver’s payment method, and that you are responsible to the giver for that charge. You authorize tippos to collect its disclosed Service fee from the charge through Stripe, and you agree that payouts may be made only to an external account verified in your name.
I confirm that I am the intended recipient, personally provided the lawful service connected to this tip, and agree to the tippos Terms, the Privacy Policy, electronic records, and the Stripe verification and payment process. By claiming this tip I acknowledge that I, and not tippos, am the merchant of record for the charge made to the giver’s payment method, and that I am responsible to the giver for that charge. I authorize tippos to collect its disclosed Service fee from the charge through Stripe, and I agree that payouts may be made only to an external account verified in my name.
You must provide accurate information to tippos and its payment providers, keep control of your account, and use only a payment account that legally belongs to you. If you abandon the process, fail verification, provide inaccurate information, or become ineligible, the tip may close without a charge.
A paid tip may still be affected by payment delays, payout delays, refund requests, disputes, reversals, account restrictions, fraud review, sanctions review, tax rules, or legal holds. tippos may pause or restrict a claim when required by law, provider rules, safety controls, or these Terms.
Any balance shown to you in the app is your own balance held by Stripe in your connected account. tippos does not hold it. Stripe pays it out to the external account verified in your name on Stripe’s standard schedule; payout timing depends on Stripe availability, reserves, disputes, and the status of your account. tippos does not promise instant payout.
If you choose the service type “Other”, you must describe the service in your own words. tippos reviews that description before the giver is charged. The review may be automated: an automated check may approve the claim, and a person reviews it when the automated check does not. A claim that is not approved closes without a charge.
